And I am reading this is recently an issue on Macs as well. I remove the drive and plugged it into another pc as a slave HDD that was also running XP. FYI: A 500GB cost as low as 60 bucks.. ) Take out the old nice hard drive with all you nice precious things in it,.. A new hard drive will not install Win XP from the full install disk. (SP2).
