Delete them All (Take backup if important).
My friend could not explain why the messages could not be deleted directly having never encountered this particular problem himself. P.S. I believe that, as of recently, Windows Live Mail has pretty much lost the ability to "sync" actions relating to mail, calendar and contacts for any of the following email accounts. Windows Live Mail Can't Empty Deleted Items Folder But Recently Windows live users are not able to send pictures in the Mail because of the Conflict.

Is that correct? All Rights Reserved. Now you will see your storage folders, Inbox, Sent, Junk etcetera. Based on your efforts it sounds like one or more of the emails you are trying to delete are corrupted, or possibly a ghost image from some form of syncing issue,
