It is possible that my updates were not working since I shoe horned a larger HDD in the PC. Is it necessary to install Service Pack 1 before installing Service Pack 2? Now what?? Then I googled the error code instead of the error message and 2 minutes later my windows were updating.

I could not find it though because I updated my ssd HD from 500GB to 1TB. I finally made it work after I used the troupeshooter to identify my error number which was 0x80070005.
