After each time, I would start to install XP and except for the 1 large partition, the installation would freeze at 39 minutes, the large partition freezes at 28 minutes.
I do appreciate all the help. I've read on some forums that some laptops had problems if they had more than 256MB of memory installed (this one has 512MB). I did a parallel installation so I can access the drive OK. Login now.
Just need to decide if I should reformat the drive or just install a new windows directory and reload programs. BTW... i've left setup on overnight and it was at the same point in the morning. I have tried 'Custom" installation rather than 'Express". if you have any stuff you really want to save i suggest either getting flash memory or a USB hard drive and copying on there. navigate to this website Thanks again!
