Both the MSI 'Micro' ATX and /or either of the two featured Gigabyte boards ought to work nicely for what you want, I feel. i have psensors installed now and the CPU temp is moving between 40 and 50. One time I did open my laptop, clean it from dust and observed CMOS battery with some white like powder sticking to its body and clean it up.Also observed that when news

there is a place to mount the fan but the front side is closed down. You can get two sticks of DDR3 for what I pay for one of DDR1. there is a place to mount the fan but the front side is closed down. Modern CPUs should slow down before thermal protection makes them stop.

If you can find nothing wrong in the hardware sector, then try a low-level format utility to wipe your machine and then re-install the bios per http://www.ehow.com/how_4843572_reinstall-bios.html these instructions require you

the 256MB DDR ram stick is also ancient. the PC has 19" monitor usually running at 1280 x 1024. --- the other one that is now having issue with crashing should actually be quite descent PC. My true guess would be my CPU fan was overheating my chip or latest download Corrupted something in my pc. the reason i suspec the drivers is because onyl games that use certain openGl seems to cause the crash. I mean if performance would be only 30% or 40 % better then it is not worth buying a new PC. All rights reserved.

When the Seagate was in a USB 2.0 port, it would take 14-16 mins to transfer it. I'm completely stumped, and hopefully this isn't a sign of the mobo going bad. it used to be a Pentium2 400 Mhz, the it got an upgrade to Celeron 1.6 Ghz using a socket upgrade. I'd re-read the CPU coolant application instructions ...

After I did this, then the system suddenly worked.

I mean with PCIe 2.0 socket? new PSU ? AFAIK Atoms have weaker GPU. The Passmark numbers are 2x a 1st-gen Core2Duo. so it seems it might be a game issue.

anyway I decided to turn the fan around (the only way I could then connect it to the motherboard) so that the air is now blowing in.

My most powerful systems are headless - no monitor, keyboard, mice. PC has old, but good monitor running at 1680 x 1050 I believe. It crashed again recently and rebooted automatically, I restarted it and entered the BIOS setup to check the settings and it froze in BIOS setup screen and I hadn't changed anything, I remember when I bought it it cost me 600 EUR.

it's not like I am running anything major on it. I could then see the temp increasing up to the point when it just shut down (it didn't freeze).
