Solved: Vista / XP Dual Boot - SM Bus Controller XP Driver

Device Manager has the same 2 exclamation points: "Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus" and "Ethernet Network Controller." Any hints, hunches, or ideas? One with the original vista install, which I play around with, and the other has the XP pro install which I use for work related issues. When the installation program has finished its tasks, you must restart the computer for the new drivers to work. I have tried lots of things, repair from Vista DVD, nothing. hi! Initial setup... check my blog I feel it is a upgrade going to XP Pro x64 from Vista; instead of a downgrade.

I haven't tried that particular option but it would sure make things easier.You might want to review John Wilkonsin's "Vista Tips" section at the top of this forum. Doing it through booting the CD just creates extra confusion with drive letters and booting. See the help page at http://windowshelp.microsoft.c.....51033.mspx to do that. Right click on the text box and click Select All.

here's the pics of a zip file on Windows 7 with what I hoped was the router/adapter software. Loss of sound seems to be a common problem with the Inspiron series. I have just added XP as a dual boot OS with Vista. It Should Work Fine... Another nice set of drivers for Packard Bell Easynote MX36. I will follow instructions and advise results. It has some good information about dual-boots.
