It sounds like you just need to set your default media player to windows media player. Windows Media Player Not Recognizing Dvd Windows 10 Click Accessories, and then click Run. To do this, go to step 8.

The drive is a LITE-ON DVDRW LH-20A1H and I cannot find any indication that there is any driver or other software that could be a problem.

I recommend the latest K-Lite Codec Pack for Windows 10, but if you want something else, just search the internet for the codec pack that suits you up the best. That solved the problem. Currently, it takes me several re-inserts of the disc, to make the drive read anything at all.I did update MediaPlayer 11 and made sure all drivers are up to date and Click the + sign by the CD/DVD drives and right click the drive. Is there a way to get better information? Never heard of that.

Pure awesomeness! Low and behold, it seems to be a problem, seemingly installed with itunes. Too often a CD where each song is perfromed by one artist come up as if that artist copmposed all the songs as well, or data is missing. Random bug.
